In what may have been a Horde server first kill outside of the PTR, End Guys, in a severely undermanned raid, successfully defeated the first Naxxramas boss.

His nefariously cute design was almost our undoing, lowering everybody’s guard such that, when he finally charged the raid, the effect was devastating. With many down and the rest badly wounded, we realized far too late that all of the purring and leg-rubbing belied the bloodthirsty, soulstealing creature hidden beneath the soft, silky fur.

His true form now revealed and after a clutch battle rez by the lone druid, the raid scrambled back together to pull off an epic recovery. End Guys stood victorious. Mr. Bigglesworth was no more.

Unfortunately, as is common on patch day and with new instances, the encounter seemed to be bugged — the finicky feline dropped no loot whatsoever and our GM ticket was closed without comment.

Here’s to hoping the bugs get fixed and for many more Naxx successes in the near future.
